AAPE x One Piece
Neutral monochrome tones form the basis upon which bold red graphics showcase classic BAPE imagery alongside Luffy and his Straw Hat Pirate squad. Camouflage and the Straw Hat Jolly Roger appear in various iterations, including a half-and-half hoodie and circular logo printed on the rear of several shirts. An Ape Head sports Luffy’s signature under-eye scar in one design, while ship doctor Tony Tony Chopper hugs the classic BAPE icon on another hoodie. Accompanying the layering pieces are a duo of bucket hats, emblazoned with a rubber Jolly Roger at the front.
AAPE x Alpha Industries
AAPE by A Bathing Ape and Alpha Industries have teamed up for a collaboration featuring three signature Alpha Industries flight jackets: the L-2B Hybrid Reversible Flight Jacket, MA-1 Natus, and M-65 Defender Liner Jacket. The collection also includes the AAPE Hooded Sweatshirt. The styles are offered in black, white, and military green schemes, branded with the AAPE Moon Face logo, as well as Alpha Industries’ red sleeve tag and Velcro logo badges.
AAPE x Eastpak
AAPE teamed up with luggage experts Eastpak to apply its “Moon Face” iconography to three different bags. Included in the collection is the AAPE Padded, AAPE Springer, and AAPE Tranverz M. Each piece comes in green or black camo prints. The AAPE Padded features an AAPE by A Bathing Ape slogan across the hood, handles and shoulder straps. The monochrome black lining has a contrasting silk-screen print of the AAPE “Moon Face” logo. The AAPE Springer elevates the essential Eastpak bum bag with the Japanese brand’s “Moon Face” icon. The top of the Springer and the adjustable waist straps are branded with AAPE graphic logos. While the AAPE Tranverz M is a two-wheeled bag doused in AAPE camo print. Features include a double-deck compartment, with heat-embossed lining and branded compression straps.
AAPE x NASA
This collection is compromised of matching industrial style garments that come in a complete set including both long- and short-sleeved tees, sweatshirts, sweatpants, hoodies and jackets. Each of the items, of course, sport NASA’s framed logos and motifs throughout. Standout pieces include the choice outwear options, which have been fashioned with a silver fabric lining to complete the space industrial design. AAPE’s signature APUNVS slogan (AAPE Universe) along with the NASA “Worm Logotype” and “Meatball logo” are also highlighted on the black, white and red apparel items.
AAPE x FILA
Fans of the two brands are in for a special treat. There are two hoodie options, one in AAPE’s signature camo and the other in black with co-branded graphics on the rear and left chest. FILA’s insignia is founded striped across the drawstring hood. Both shirt options, long and short-sleeved, has the signature AAPE Moon Face logo and “F” tag stamped atop a rectangle camo palette creating one of the best collab logos. The long sleeve tee has FILA taping along each arm for those who still have the logomania bug. A pair of cosy joggers and hat round out the apparel adding in those classic streetwear staples.
What is AAPE brand?
A Bathing Ape (BAPE) was the brainchild of an eclectic designer named Nigo. AAPE is a collection of more casual wears focusing on lightness and comfort, while also being at a lower price point.
What does AAPE stand for?
AAPE stands for AAPE by A Bathing Ape, which is a young subsidiary brand under BAPE.
Is AAPE made by BAPE?
Yes, AAPE is BAPE’s sub-label, releasing products at a slightly lower price point with subtle aesthetic differences in its design language. AAPE by A Bathing Ape was targeted at the mainstream Asian market in China, Hong Kong and beyond as well as more casual consumers around the world.
Do BAPE hoodies run small?
BAPE hoodies are true to size, if you take a size up from your usual, it’ll be longer. The female line of BAPE does run small so it is recommended to take a size up if you’re unsure.
Can you machine wash BAPE?
Yes, you can machine wash BAPE clothes. Because hoodies are not worn directly over the skin, they do not need to be washed frequently, wash them only when necessary. Turn it inside out and close any zippers and buttons before washing. Wash in cold water with a mild detergent, and avoid bleach when washing the hoodie. Use a gentle wash cycle. Wash it by itself or wrap it in a lingerie bag if you’re washing with other clothing. Do not use a dryer as the additional heat may cause shrinkage. The same goes for when you’re washing other BAPE clothes.
Is Bathing Ape cheaper in Japan?
You may be wondering if you can afford BAPE clothing directly from Japan. Well, the truth is, BAPE products are much cheaper in Japan. In the United States, prices for A Bathing Ape items are definitely priced higher than they are in Japanese stores.
