Apple iPad Hong Kong: Sophisticated, Powerful and Portable

Apple has always been known for its innovative and ground-breaking products. When the company first toyed with the idea of a tablet, it came up with the Apple Graphics Tablet in 1979 that acted as an aid for graphics creation, a digital canvas for artists to draw on. Then, in 1993, Apple released a PDA (not public display of affections! The acronym here stands for Personal Digital Assistant) called the Newton MessagePad that eventually was discontinued in 1998 due to the many flaws in its programming. However, that did not stop Apple from coming up with various touchscreen products (like the iPhones and iPods) that would go on to become hits among the public.

Since the discontinuation of the MessagePad, there were rumours that Apple would be releasing a new tablet or a PDA. When the iPad’s announcement (and eventual launch) came about in 2010, it drew loads of attention to the product. Many were surprised with the relatively low price of the 9.7” iPads as most of the Apple products were of good quality and had high price tags. Nevertheless, the iPad was a success as the low price did not compromise the quality of the product.

Apple iPad Hong Kong: An Immersive and Unforgettable Experience

Since the launch of its first iPad, Apple continues to improve the performance and designs of the iPads, releasing an updated model at least once every year. It is a product that can be used for work, for teaching and learning or even for leisure with its advanced features and wide range of available apps.

Currently, there are 5 different models of iPads in the market:

  • iPad Pro
  • iPad Air 2
  • iPad Air
  • iPad Mini 4
  • iPad Mini 2

Each iPad comes with a beautiful Retina display for your viewing pleasure. Not only that, the front and rear cameras can be used to take clear, beautiful pictures and videos of your favourite memories that can be shared via Wi-Fi or Cellular (an option that will cost a little more, but would be totally worth it). Each iPad comes with an on-board memory option between 16GB to 128GB to store all your memories and apps that can be used to make your life easy.

The latest among the iPad models available would be the iPad Pro, a product that lets you “be more creative and more productive”. It has nearly double the CPU as well as graphics performance of an iPad Air 2 and comes with a 12.9” screen that lets you work faster as well as enjoy your videos with ease.

Which iPad should I buy in 2020?

The iPad Pro is the absolute best iPad out of their lineup and it doesn’t come cheap. Unlike the others, it doesn’t have a home button or Touch ID, but it uses the front camera for Face ID just like most modern iPhones. It has slimmer edges around the screen, which allows for a larger display that comes in two sizes. The 12.9-incher is about the size of a magazine, and it’s wonderful for drawing with the Apple Pencil (a separate purchase), but the 11-inch model is plenty for most people. The Pencil is different from the one available for other iPads- it magnetically sticks to the edge of the iPad Pro and wirelessly charges.

Which Apple products are discontinued?

Since September 2019, Apple has quietly killed off more than half a dozen of its older devices, including some beloved iPhone models and the fanciest Apple Watch- it even eliminated the iPhone X, which first hit store shelves less than two years ago. Here are all the devices Apple has discontinued in recent months.

  • Apple Watch Series 1
  • Apple Watch Edition
  • iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus
  • iPhone SE
  • iPhone X
  • 10.5-inch iPad Pro
  • 12-inch MacBook

Should I get the iPad Pro or iPad Air?

If you want an iPad that packs a lot of punch but doesn’t cost an arm and a leg, the iPad Air is a great way to go. The Air is arguably the best iPad for most people’s needs, and its price tag is fairly reasonable for such a powerful tablet. If, however, you want the best of the best, you need laptop-level performance, and you have the cash to spend, then the iPad Pro is a better choice. The Pro does cost about double the price of Air, though, so you will pay a premium for the high-end specs. You’ll also have to pay extra to buy a keyboard cover if you want to use it as a laptop, and they aren’t always super cheap.

Should you decide to go with the iPad Pro, then you’ll need to decide which screen size is the best for your needs. If you’re a graphic designer or video editor and want a big display for your work, then the larger 12.9-inch iPad Pro is an excellent option. Otherwise, the 11-inch iPad Pro is a fine choice.

Is 32GB enough for an iPad?

If you do a lot of streaming and very little offline watching, 32GB to 64GB is acceptable. If you want to be able to save a few movies and shows without having to delete other items on your iPad, 128GB is the better bet. Want to store a bunch of content offline? 256GB or 512GB is the size you want.

Which is the latest iPad?

The latest iPad, iPad Mini, and iPad Air all launched in 2019, while the final iPad (9.7-inch) launched in 2018. However, the newest iPad in 2020 is the freshly updated iPad Pro.
