Bvlgari Earrings That You’d Want to Add to Your Collection

Bulgari- or Bvlgari, was founded by Constantine Sotirios Boulgaris, which was Italianised to Sotirio Bulgari. He began his career as a jeweller at Epirus in Greece before leaving for Corfu in 1977. He moved on to Naples and finally, in 1881, to Rome. Three years later, he opened a shop in Via Sistini, which was replaced by the current flagship store in Via dei Condotti in 1905. The Bulgari signature is often spelt Bvlgari- with a V rather than a U, which is a reference to the classic Italian alphabet.

How to spot fake Bvlgari earrings?

On an authentic piece of Bvlgari jewellery, the lettering will be evenly spaced and is separated by two circles. The top Bvlgari stamp is centred across the top and then the bottom Bvlgari stamp runs upside-down across the bottom. The quality of the stamp is important to note. The real Bvlgari stamp is clean with sharp edges whereas a fake version will have a messier stamp with less definition or rounded edges.

Where is Bvlgari made?

Bvlgari’s headquarters are based in Roma where the High Jewellery collections are being made. Yet, most of its jewellery is manufactured in the Italian city of gold: Valenza.
