Best Byredo HK Products to Add to Your Collection

“Intrigued by the creative possibilities of scent,” Byredo founder and Stockholm native Ben Gorham draws inspiration from his exotic travels to create the label’s cult perfumes. Formulated using a select number of raw ingredients, each fragrance tells a story. The woody aroma of ‘Oud Immortel’ depicts the history of the world’s oldest incense, while the fresh and floral air of ‘La Tulipe’ evokes the anticipation of spring.

Eau de Parfum- Mojave Ghost

In the barren landscape of the Mojave desert grows the resilient and glorious Ghost Flower. This Byredo scent captures its allure, using opening notes of tart Jamaican Nesberry- akin to the scent of fine tequila- to tempt your nose. A sweet accord of Violet, citrus-tingled Magnolia and subtle Sandalwood underscores the sweetness, disguising the woody base of Amber, Cedarwood and Chantilly Musk.

Eau de Parfum- Gypsy Water

Inspired b the romantic “myth” of the Romany lifestyle, Byredo’s Gypsy Water Eau de Parfum is an enchanting bohemian medley. Deftly blended from striking fresh notes of lemon, pepper and juniper berries, zesty Bergamot, smoky incense and warm Amber, it’s a Mediterranean evening in a bottle.

Eau de Parfum- Rose of No Man’s Land

A delicate and comforting scent, Byredo’s Eau de Parfum is a tribute to the front line nurses of WW1, known as “Roses,” who saves thousands of lives in the desolate areas between opposing armies, then referred to as “No Man’s Land.” The evocative fragrance opens with fresh and elegant top notes of Pink Pepper and Turkish Rose Petals which give way to sweet Raspberry Blossom and Turkish Rose Absolute accords. Papyrus and White Amber create a warm base.

Eau de Parfum- Velvet Haze

Beneath the sweet exterior of this ‘Velvet Haze’ fragrance lies a musky memory of Woodstock in the ‘60s- Byredo’s Creative Director Ben Gorham is inspired by the music and cultural movements of the decade. It opens with top notes of Ambrette and coconut water, before releasing a heart of Patchouli leaves and warm base of Cocoa Absolute and Wild Musk.

Eau de Parfum- Slow Dance

Byredo’s Ben Gorham formulated this fragrance to channel the exhilarating and unforgettable experience of a first ‘Slow Dance.’ It’s scented with top notes of honey-like Opoponax Myrrh that’s blended with a floral pop of Geranium, Violet and Labdanum heart notes, as well as vanilla, Patchouli, Frankincense at the base for a touch of masculine warmth. The sweet but rich mix makes it a great choice for cooler months.

Tree House Scented Candle

Byredo’s ‘Tree House’ candle is inspired by architect Takashi Kobayashi, who constructs buildings using the natural environment of Japanese forests. Perfect for those who love woody fragrances in their home, it combines Cedar, Sandalwood, Guaiac Wood and Hay, peppered with spicy Pimiento, Myrrh and Labdanum. It rounds out with deep base notes of leather.

Cotton Poplin Scented Candle

Byredo’s luxurious candles are handmade in France from the brand’s signature black wax and cotton wicks. Housed in a mouth-blown glass vessel, the ‘Cotton Poplin’ scent opens with calming Blue Chamomile with a crisp Linen and White Cedarwood centre before closing with a sweet Musk base. Light it to fill your home with a fresh and welcoming scent.

Fleur Fantôme Scented Candle

What does Byredo mean?

Byredo is a fragrance company founded by Ben Gorham. In 2006, after a chance meeting with a French fragrance director, he was inspired to try his hand at creating his own collection. The goal was to translate specific memories into scents—trying to be at literal as possible. He found that candles would be the easiest to produce and began making them DIY-style before people really started to take note. Eventually, he added the brand name, Byredo, which stems from the Old English word redolence, meaning sweet-smelling perfume. The packaging is minimal and tasteful—a style that stands apart in the crowded fragrance marketplace. It’s intriguing, sophisticated and even a little mysterious.
