These days, people get excited when they find out that Apple iPhone 7S might feature wireless charging. However, there is a new rumor that can cast doubt about its wireless charging.
As reported by Digitimes, metal-alloy chassis maker, Catcher Technology, has announced that it would intend to rely on the same product lines for future growth. During a shareholder meeting, the Chairman of Catcher Technology commented that smartphone vendors would adopt metal-alloy chassis which require more sophisticated manufacturing for both mid-range and high-end models. While he did not comment on rumors that say Catcher Technology won orders for unibody aluminum chassis that are designated for Apple iPhones this year. Impressively, it has been said that Catcher Technology will assemble glass back covers with frames.
The only thing that the chairman stated is about how challenging it is to assemble glass back covers with unibody aluminum frame. In fact, he added that it can be very demanding in terms of manufacturing technology and yield rate. Catcher Technology completed the construction of a new factory in southern Taiwan while expanded production capacities at two factories in eastern China in order to meet this growing demand.
Early reports mentioned that Catcher Technology would provide parts for two of the three Apple iPhone models this year. They were Apple iPhone 7S and Apple iPhone 7S Plus. While the new Digitimes report did not mention which Apple iPhone models will get the aluminum chassis, it seems to show that Apple iPhone 7S could support wireless charging with its glass sandwich design that is similar to Apple iPhone 8. As usual, every rumor should be taken with a pinch of salt.

While we are getting closer to a September announcement of Apple iPhone 8, Apple iPhone 7S, and Apple iPhone 7S Plus, people just cannot wait for any exciting leak or news about these upcoming Apple smartphones. This time, there was a leak which revealed Apple iPhone 7S to be made of glass.
Since Apple iPhone 7S was rumored to use glass in both front and back, this means that it might use wireless charging. Previously, both Apple iPhone 7S and Apple iPhone 7S Plus had been rumored to feature a pure aluminum unibody design. However, this new leak actually confirmed that Apple iPhone 7S may feature wireless charging. Furthermore, it was said that Apple iPhone 7S could be waterproof as well. Yet, people were still puzzled whether Apple iPhone 7S will use metal, plastic or glass. The wireless charging
According to Digitimes, suppliers are already producing components for the 4.7-inch iPhone 7S, the 5.5-inch iPhone 7S Plus, and the 5.8-inch iPhone 8. As usual, Apple did not give any official confirmation regarding this leaked news. Since we are just a few month away from September announcement, you can expect Apple iPhone 7S to ship in 25-30 million units this second half of the year.

It is noteworthy to consider that every Apple iPhone with the letter "S" in its name will usually get at least one huge game-changing feature. This is true when you take a look at the history of all Apple iPhone S models.
In order to complement its Touch ID technology, it is rumored that Apple is planning to bring facial recognition on all of its smartphones. The incorporation of such technology will allow users to unlock their smartphones just by looking at the front camera. Interestingly, Apple is going to enhance this facial recognition feature to a point which it can even tell the difference between a real face and photographs. This is important in order to prevent any obvious bypass that can compromise the security and privacy issues. If this is true, this can be one groundbreaking innovation that can make the Apple iPhone 7S stands out.
However, this will definitely require the front camera to utilize two lenses and/or infrared sensors configuration. As of now, it is more likely for Apple iPhone 8 to receive such front camera configuration. Yet, there is a lot of talks about how it will eventually reach the Apple iPhone 7S so that it can compete with its closest rivals. With every passing leak and report, people are still eager to find out what the "S" in Apple iPhone 7S will stand for this time.

While it seems that the Apple iPhone 7S has been overshadowed by its highly anticipated cousin, Apple iPhone 8, it still does not mean that there is no one is interested in it. This time, there is this latest Apple iPhone 7S rumor that makes Apple fans crazy because the Apple iPhone 7S may contain strengthened Ion-X glass display. It comes from a photo that depicts the seemingly rear cover of the rumored Apple iPhone 7S.
Found on Chinese social network, Sina Weibo, the photo was later submitted to leak aggregator, Slashleaks. Although it is hard to tell whether the photo is real or not, there seems to be a bump-less cutout for a single-lens camera with another cut-out for what could be a vertically-aligned LED flash. In the same photo, the document in the photo might suggest that the iPhone with codename N79 will boast a strengthened Ion-X glass display such as the one that is found on Apple Watch.
If this rumor is correct, the paperwork of this document can be traced to Apple's contracted manufacturing partners in Taiwan like Foxconn, Wistron or Pegatron. Furthermore, the same picture also shows that there will be a shift away from the usual Apple iPhone 5S design.

Traditionally, Apple has been known to unveil its iPhones in September for the past few years and it will not be any different this year. This is also reported by the Chinese newspaper, Economic Daily Times. In the same report, Apple will start to sell Apple iPhone 7S in one or two month after its announcement. However, such estimation of the release date has been best described as "too optimistic" by other commentators since there are several issues that can delay the release of Apple iPhone 7S. In fact, they even add that it is still too early to set any firm date at this stage of time.
If the report is proven correct, this means that early adopters will be able to claim their latest Apple iPhone 7S from October. Experienced Apple observers and leakers alike agree that there is still chance for Apple to change the release date at least several times over. While our excitement can be put on hold for the time being, this still does not prevent us from seeking the latest scoops.
Earlier, there is a lot of talks regarding how Apple iPhone 8 leaks and rumors are actually hurting the current Apple iPhone 7 sales. As a matter of fact, Apple believes that there has been a "pause in purchases" due to reports about future Apple iPhones. In other words, this can be a problem for Apple as any delay of its future Apple iPhones can make the declining sales a longer affair.
And some are saying it might not even be released at all.
According to numerous online sources, signs are once again pointing to the release of the iPhone 7S being delayed or even cancelled. This is because of – you guessed it – Apple are prioritizing it over the iPhone 8.
According to some inside sources from Foxconn, Apple has placed an order for the release of only two new models, which meals Apple won’t be releasing three models like some have been said they would, but only two. Which will obviously be the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus if Apple wants to celebrate their 10-year anniversary.
It’s sad to say, but it’s entirely likely that Apple has abandoned their plans for the iPhone 7S this year. Some are saying it’s uncharacteristic of Apple to do so, but then, the evidence is pointing to it likely being true.
After all, if the iPhone 8 will really be as great as rumours say it will be, then what would the point of releasing the iPhone 7S at all?
While this is incredibly likely at this point, it should be said that the information source, microgadget.com, is known for being doubtful in the past.
But if is going to be an iPhone 7S, then sources are saying that when it does come out, it’s release date will be heavily delayed. The reason for this would be due to the significant hardware upgrades from previous models that the iPhone 7S is expected to feature.
Of course, all of this is purely speculation. We don’t even have a confirmed name for the next model Apple will be releasing next! Likely contenders being the iPhone 7S, iPhone 7S Plus, the iPhone 8, iPhone X, or the iPhone Plus. As of right now, every outcome is equally likely.
The best outcome would be for Apple fans to receive not just the iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus they’re anticipating, but the iPhone 8 as well.
For those that still don’t know, according to reports from AppleInsider, evidence proves that Apple still intends to release the iPhone 7S and will, in fact, be releasing both the iPhone 7S and the iPhone 8 at the same time.
This is both good and bad news for the iPhone 7S. Meant to be Apple’s flagship product this year, it will likely be overshadowed by the release of the iPhone 8. Well established at this point that iPhone 8 will be released according to Apples 10-year anniversary, it will undoubtedly feature technology unlike any other iPhone has before. However, the iPhone 7S will still feature the high-end technologies expected of an iPhone but much less impressive.
Expected to be an improved version of the iPhone 6S, it will be similar to the iPhone 6S in design and build. What sets it apart from the other models will be what’s inside it. Among the features that the iPhone 7S is rumoured to have, by far the most anticipated would be the possibility of Apple finally switching from an OLED screen to a LED screen. The screens might be paired with True Tone displays that will enable the screen of the iPhone 7S to change according to the ambient light conditions.
That, as well as the fact that the iPhone 7S will include an improved screen resolution, will give the iPhone 7S an impressive display. Other changes to the iPhone 7S might be the possible change of location of the Touch ID, which might be placed on the back of the phone instead of at the front, a fact that plays with the rumours of Apple shrinking down their phone bezels to make way for a larger screen. Aside from those, other improvements will likely be business as usual, and the iPhone 7S will have an improved overall performance, speed, camera, and graphics.
There have been countless rumours and leaks about the iPhone 7S and information of the long-awaited iPhone is being leaked like crazy. Some of the hottest leaks concerning the iPhone 7S are:
- True Color
- Wireless charging
- Iris scanner
- Facial recognition
So far, it seems that a True Colour screen will most likely be included for the iPhone 7S, along with the iPhone 7S Plus and the iPhone 8. True Colour will severely improve the iPhone 7S’ display, the “full spectral sensing” ambient light sensor giving the iPhone 7S a True Colour screen through the use of a four-channel ambient light sensor. Also seen in the 9.7-inch iPad Pro, this gives the iPhone 7S’ display the ability to adapt its screen to changes in lighting and temperature according to the phone's location, therefore giving you an optimal display no matter the lighting.
Wireless charging is pretty self-explanatory and always highly anticipated. But for the iPhone 7S, it’s still purely hypothetical, likewise for the possible inclusions of an iris scanner and facial recognition software.
In any case, everyone is still impatient for the release of the iPhone 7S, which is currently rumoured to be released sometime in September. However, the internet is rife with rumours that there might not even be an “S” variant this year, considering that Apple aims to release the iPhone 8 in 2017 for the sake of Apple’s ten-year anniversary. Some are saying this is absurd, while others consider it a real possibility.
Apple has always managed to impress us with their consistent releasing of newer and better versions of the iPhone, but after the stilted reaction to the release of the iPhone 7 and the fact that 2017 is an important year for Apple, the pressure is on for Apple to make an iPhone that manages to both impress the people and fulfil their expectations.
