Blackview is gearing up to release their latest mobile phone – the Blackview X, equipped with a design that is inspired by the iPhone X. It is expected to come with an iPhone X-esque notch at the top, which is one of the major trends in mobile phones these days. The latest in the rumor mill suggests that the Blackview X’s exterior will be made out of glass and metal. While there’s no confirmation on its actual build and dimensions, it is said to be 8.5-mm thick and lightweight. Its front panel will sport a 5.85-inch 19:9 display – making it one of the world’s first mobile phones to come with such a feature if it would be released. You will find a dual camera setup on the back that adds a bulge to the phone, similar to the one found in the iPhone X. You will also find the branding on the device’s rear. When it comes to the internals, Blackview hasn’t revealed any details but it is rumored that the Blackview X will run one of the latest MediaTek chipsets. It will also come with an Android 8.1 Oreo onboard.
As for the bezels, the device will have thicker bezels at the bottom than the ones on its sides. You will also get access to the volume controls on the right side, and a Type-C USB port and the loudspeaker at the bottom.
You can expect a much lower price tag for this iPhone X lookalike as it is rumoured to be priced at USD 350. Its actual cost is unknown as of the moment, so we’re going to have to wait for new announcements. The same goes for its launch date, as the company has not provided any details yet. Blackview released a few mobile phones last year including the Blackview S8 and S8 Plus. The Blackview X aims to attract potential buyers who are looking for budget or mid-range smartphones. We are hoping for an update of this upcoming phone sometime in the late 2018.
