Huawei P9 Lite Hong Kong: A Well-Rounded Phone for the Masses

Huawei P9 Lite is one of the most sought-after midrange devices on the market. It is packed with great specifications and other things you want in a smartphone. Here’s a rundown of its specifications and features.

Visually Appealing Design

Although it looks familiar similar to its previous iterations, the P9 Lite hosts subtle upgrades including a smooth back exterior which offers a sturdy and slick feel. Much like previous Huawei phones, the P9 Lite has volume rockers and power buttons on the right which are accessible by the thumb. At the top, there is the headphone jack, as well as the front camera and speaker.

IPS LCD Display

The P9 Lite has a below average display size of 5.2 inches, making it manageable to hold with one hand. Not only is the P9 comfortable to hold, its IPS LCD display is remarkably sharp too, sporting a full HD resolution of 1080 x 1920p. In addition, the P9 Lite’s screen has a film-friendly resolution that enhances your movie watching experience, as you see bright, vibrant, and eye-catching colors.

Fast and Smooth Performance

At the heart of the P9 Lite lies the HiSilicon Kirin 659 chip with 8 cores clocked at 2.0 GHz and 1.7 GHz. With this processor, the P9 Lite works incredibly fast and offers a smooth performance while gaming and running apps. The P9 Lite also comes with a 3 GB of RAM to make it more than capable of managing whatever apps or games you throw at it. As for app launches, expect a responsive and speedy performance.

A camera unlike any other

One of the best things that the P9 Lite could offer is its cameras; its rear camera offers 13 megapixels with an aperture of f/2.0, while its front snapper has an 8-MP resolution. Although the rear sensor’s shutter speed performs slightly slow, it snaps vivid and sharp images. Meanwhile, its 8-MP selfie snapper is capable of capturing great shots. You can further enhance your selfies by using the Beauty Mode which is the smartphone version of plastic surgery. This manipulates your vanity shots to Instagram-worthy levels. Moreover, the camera also comes with geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama, and HDR modes to customize your photography.

Large Battery Capacity

The P9 Lite may not be a flagship device but it houses a 3000-mAh battery capacity, much like in many flagship phones. Its processor runs efficiently and has no battery-hogging multimedia features, resulting in an impressive battery life. 30 minutes of playing Asphalt 8 only takes 10% off the P9 Lite’s battery which is amazing. When running heavy apps and games, the phone can manage a full day’s use without the “low battery” warning, which makes it even more outstanding.
