About Smartphones Hong Kong

Smart and Classy Design

Part of the Nexus 5's charm as to why it is a favourite of many people is due to its design. It is by no means at all a very flashy or premium looking phone with its soft touch polycarbonate rear shell. The soft touch polycarbonate rear shell is matte and keeps things incredibly simple, aside from the horizontal Nexus branding and the slightly larger camera lens on the top.

Due to the nature of its design, the LG Nexus 5 feels great in the hand and is almost fun to navigate through. Its 5-inch display may be large, but with minimal bezels and a smaller chassis foot print, the phone is easily handled through a one-handed use. There is hardly any other smartphone out there that can provide the same type of balance in design as the Nexus 5.

Compact in Form, Large in Power

The Nexus 5 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset with a quad-core Krait 400 processor that is clocked at 2.26 GHz. The processor may be a little old with the current flagship of smartphones, but the Nexus 5 is still a very capable device. Its day to day usage is flawless, delivering smooth performance throughout its operation.

It is also very power efficient, even with a modest battery capacity of 2300 mAh – also thanks in part to the stock Android operating system with no unnecessary bloatware. It can also tackle most demanding mobile games from the Android Play Store with its Adreno 330 graphics processing unit that is part of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset.

Purely Android

Nexus devices server as "reference" smartphone of sorts, portraying the ideal smartphone Google wishes to see its powerful Android system run inside. As such, Nexus smartphones and tablets benefit of constantly having the latest and greatest in Android software updates first and foremost before any other smartphone brands out there.

Running on a pure Android operating system means that the Nexus 5 is free from the custom user interface that other smartphone manufacturers tend to put over the stock Android interface, making it different. But that custom user interface comes at a price: unnecessary bloatware which may slow down and bog the smartphone. A stock Android experience only comes with all of the core Google Play applications, and the rest is entirely up to the user, making it truly yours.
