OnePlus 3T HK FAQs

In the past, OnePlus focused on one main flagship per year, although this changed in 2016. Just six months after the OnePlus 3 was first announced, OnePlus returned with the OnePlus 3T. As the name suggests, this model is basically a “Turbo” version of the previous model. If you’re looking for a reliable flagship that has top-notch features and stock-like UI without breaking the bank, the OnePlus 3T could be the device for you. Read more about OnePlus 3T specs below.

Will the OnePlus 3T get Android 10?

The OnePlus 3T may have launched with Android Marshmallow in 2016 and received Android 9.0 Pie early 2019, but it can now be upgraded to Android 10.

Is OnePlus 3T a good phone?

Based on the review, the 3T is one of those phones with a strong feature set, super-strong performance, and a reasonable price tag so, yes. Here is a short review of this model's features:

Design & Display

As far as the design is concerned, it is identical to the OnePlus 3. The OnePlus 3T has an ultra-thin, premium space-grade aluminium alloy unibody design with a 5.5-inch Optic AMOLED screen size featuring damage-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass 4. There’s a new addition of a colour variant for the 64GB version, gunmetal. A limited-edition colour, Midnight Black, is introduced for the 128GB model. The AMOLED panel features the same Full HD resolution, resulting in a 401 ppi pixel density. What that means is text, images and video are clear and smooth.

New and Improved Software

Stepping up the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor (quad-core processor 2.35GHz), this allows the phone to increase performance without sacrificing power efficiency. The most demanding apps launch quicker and perform smoother than before. Packing 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM, you can effortlessly shift between filming 4K videos and playing games without any delay or lag.

Camera Features

The OnePlus 3T features superior 16MP sensors in both the front and back cameras, giving your day-to-day photos and videos a professional edge. High-Dynamic Range (HDR) automatically balances your photos, even in difficult lighting conditions. By combining several shots to produce the optimal image, Dynamic De-noise further reduces noise and improve the clarity of images. Through the robust manual mode, you can control every aspect of your image. Fine-tune exposure, ISO, focus, and more. The device gives the benefits of a DSLR, with the portability of a smartphone.

Impressive Battery Life

The OnePlus 3T packs a 3,400mAh battery that will last you a whole day even with a quick 30-minutes charge. The fast charge continues to power the phone at the same rate, even when streaming videos, playing graphic-intensive games or navigating with GPS.

Is OnePlus 3T waterproof?

The phone is not IP certified for water and dust resistance. However, they are designed to hold up day-to-day environmental factors; using your device in light rain or wet hands would not damage your phone. But if you're worried, you can grab some accessories like a screen protector or a waterproof case to protect your device.
