Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 Hong Kong: A Budget Smartphone with Decent Specifications

The Redmi note 4’s predecessor, the Redmi Note 3, received tons of great reviews and generated a USD1 billion revenue to Xiaomi after its success in India. As the Redmi Note 3’s successor, the Note 4 has a big shoe to fill to replicate its success. However, the Redmi Note 4 did not disappoint and even exceeded the expectations of many users. It set a new benchmark for mid-range flagships due to its amazing features and specifications.

Elegant Design and Legible Display

Although it comes with a budget price, the Redmi Note 4’s design doesn’t look cheap. It sports a sleek unibody with 2.5D glass and round edges, giving the phone a premium feel similar to big-name phones. Its 5.5-inch display is coupled with a remarkable pixel resolution of 1920 x 1080, providing crisp and colourful visuals, as well as visible texts. You will also have no issues using the phone under direct or bright lighting conditions, as the Redmi Note 4’s display offers enough legibility. Aside from that, the Redmi Note 4 has other nifty display features such as the Reading Mode that harnesses a blue light filter to make reading easier at night.

A Hardware that Packs a Punch

In terms of hardware, the Redmi Note 4 offers a satisfactory performance like its previous iteration. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chip with 8 cores clocked at 2 GHz. This, coupled with the Adreno 506 GPU, offers stunning and detailed visuals. Although it runs on the Snapdragon 625 chip, it’s not a downgrade from the Redmi Note 3’s Snapdragon 650 processor. This is because the Snapdragon 625 is built on the 14nm architecture, meaning it provides better energy efficiency. This allows the Redmi Note 4 to manage everyday tasks with ease. Moreover, the Redmi Note 4 comes in three RAM configurations - 2GB, 3GB, and 4GB, and internal storage - 32GB and 64GB.

Great Camera Performance

Another feature of the Redmi Note 4 that is a favorite among many users is its rear camera. By equipping the device with a 5-piece wide-angle lens with an aperture of f/2.0, the Redmi Note 4 offers much better photo-taking capabilities. A sensor with this aperture excels at capturing images in dim conditions, giving you photos with crisp details.

The device also comes with a camera app that offers a host of settings including manual, scenic, panorama, and much more. Also, the rear camera snaps photos quickly and covers more background; thanks to its wide-angle lens.

Massive Battery Life

Unlike its rival smartphones, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 sports a 4100 mAh battery, giving you a large amount of battery. Its battery won’t run out of juice easily despite running heavy apps and games. If you want the battery to last up to two days, you can use the device moderately, spending only a few hours of gaming, watching videos, and web browsing. Moreover, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is equipped with a fast-charging technology, meaning the device’s battery can be recharged to its full capacity within two hours.
