Dom Pérignon Champagne 05
HK$ 1,446.00
Harvey Nichols

Use code CNY10 for 10% OFF discount on fashion only | Named after the 17th century Benedictine monk credited as the person who "invented" Champagne, Dom Pérignon is one of the world's most famous wine brands. Originally registered by Eugène Mercier, the brand name Dom Pérignon was soon sold to Moët & Chandon and the first vintage of this legendary Champagne was subsequently released in 1937. Representing a blend composed of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, only the very best grapes are used to create Dom Pérignon and the production process employed is lengthy and meticulous. In its youth, Dom Pérignon boasts a smoothness and creamy fruit character with perfect balance and weight. As it ages, it takes on wonderfully toasty aromas and a finesse equalled by very few other Champagnes. The 2005 is a typically impressive DP release which should age gracefully over the next decade and beyond. On the nose, aromas of almond and powdered cocoa develop gradually into white fruit with hints of dried flowers. Classic toasted notes give a rounded finish and denote a fully realised maturity. On the palate, the wine instantly traces an astoundingly fine line between density and weightlessness. Its precision is extreme, tactile, dark and chiselled. The full taste lingers with the utmost elegance on a sappy, spicy note. Long and pronounced on the finish, Dom Pérignon 05 is the epitomy of luxury and style.£19.33 per 100.00ml

Dom Pérignon Plenitude P2 Vintage Champagne
HK$ 3,339.00
Harvey Nichols

Use code CNY10 for 10% OFF discount on fashion only | Dom Pérignon Plénitude P2 represents the debut outing of this iconic Champagne producer's rebranded re-release range, formerly known as Oenothèque. Whereas Dom Pérignon 1998 was first released on to the market in 2005, this vintage Champagne has undergone additional ageing on its lees (12 years in total) with a further two years resting post disgorgement in bottle. This additional ageing in the cellar allows the Champagne to develop additional complex toasty notes along with an extra degree of richness. The name Plénitude is born from the notion that there are three "plenitudes" in the life of a given vintage Champagne: the first plenitude spans between seven to eight years after the vintage, which is when Dom Pérignon Vintage is released, while the second one arrives between 12 and 15 years - which is now called Plénitude P2. The third window comes after around 30 years, when the Champagne has spent more than 20 years on its lees, which will now be termed as P3. Complex, broad and multi-faceted on the nose, this astonishing Champagne displays notes of brioche, honey, mineral, dried fruit and white blossom. Powerful and rich on the palate, intense and focused savoury flavours are set against a seamless procession of bubbles and a tight structure. Amazingly long on the finish, this Champagne is still youthful and bright enough to keep improving over the next 10 years and beyond. A truly delicious Dom Pérignon release, Plénitude P2 '98 would make a wonderful gift for any Champagne enthusiast or a memorable way to celebrate special occasions.£44.67 per 100.00ml
