We Felt It Coming - The Weeknd Releases Second Collab with Puma

15 February 2018 | MJ Mendoza

He may be in hot water right now for breaking up with Selena Gomez but Canadian singer the Weeknd just announced the release date of his second collaboration with Puma. Fresh from his performance in Las Vegas to commemorate the release of his debut collaboration, The Weeknd officially announced the second release.

Puma x XO first debuted in August which featured several denim apparel, and accessories, along with a signature high-top boot-sneaker hybrid unique to the collection. The second release will premiere a new olive green colorway of the sneaker boots plus several more denim apparel called "Deluxe Denim".

Starboy may be collaborating with a huge sportswear brand but he still retained his personal style for the collaboration. Along with sportswear silhouettes, The Weeknd still maintained his contemporary style with oversized and rugged designs.

Some of the things that many are looking forward to with the second drop is the collaboration's signature denim jacket and kimonos. Its frayed details make it an edgy and modern.

Aside from clothing, the Puma x XO team-up will also feature a pair of high-top sneaker boots in a new olive green colorway called "Parallel" sneakers. This footwear is inspired by military and modern utilitarian gear designed in a way that is flexible from day to night.

Overall, the footwear is Italian nubuck leather with a smooth rubber insole featuring the IGNITE cushioning technology from Puma. From the inside out, much thought was put into creating this exciting set of footwear.

Besides The Weeknd, Puma has also collaborated with different celebrities including Rihanna with her own label Fenty, notable rapper Jay Z, and artist Gunner Stahl.
