Another year, another anticipation of the latest flagship phone from one of the biggest smartphone brands in the world. It just seems like the South Korean phone maker giant just wrapped up the release of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. But, they never fail to keep their fans on their toes. Before you go ahead and purchase a new phone, you might want to consider the Samsung Galaxy S9 in Hong Kong. Here’s what you can expect from the Samsung Galaxy S9 before the official launch on February 25th, 2018, that will be held at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
Resembling the old Galaxy?
Don’t expect much change for the design on the Samsung Galaxy S9 as it will resemble its predecessor, with the exception of a slightly smaller bottom bezel. Also, the IP68 water and dust resistant will be retained. As for the display, the curved ‘Infinity’ display will also remain unchanged.
What are the Major Changes?
The rear fingerprint sensor will be relocated just below the camera which is a big improvement from the abnormally placed fingerprint sensor next to the rear camera on the S8. On top of that, the primary rear camera will be upgraded to 12MP with a F1.5 aperture.
Samsung will be setting a new smartphone benchmark with the ‘super slow-mo’ video recording that will shoot up to 960 frames per second. Users can also expect a better facial recognition experience as it is faster, secure, and much more accurate. It will also feature the brands version of iPhone’s Animoji with the addition of allowing users create 3D avatars of themselves.
You can get your hands on the Samsung Galaxy S9 really soon as pre-orders are expected to commence a week (March 1st, 2018) after the official launch in Barcelona. The new launch colours will be Midnight Black, Titanium Gray, Lilac Purple, and Coral Blue. Samsung Galaxy S9 price in Hong Kong starts from HKD 7,708.
