From the enchanting streets of France to the rest of the world, and now in Malaysia, Ubisoft had conquered the gaming industry with their heart-stopping, and engaging video games in all gaming consoles such as Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Wii and PC. Ubisoft started off in March 1986 in France by the hands of five brothers of the Guillemot family, namely Christian, Gerard, Claude, Yves and Michel. They made deals with Electronic Arts (EA), Sierra Online and MicroProse to distribute their games around the country. By the end of the decade, they had spanned across the United States, Germany and United Kingdom and had become one of the biggest names in the gaming industry.
During the 90s, the company focused on online games by supporting Uru: Ages Beyond Mist, The Matrix Online and EverQuest. In the early 2000s, Ubisoft had acquired several media studios and gained access to intellectual property such as the Myst, Prince of Persia and South Park, but Ubisoft’s success is not just about acquiring licensed characters from other companies. They also made their own, unique games that are seen as fresh, new and never-been-done in gaming history.

The like of which can be found in Assassin’s Creed and Prince of Persia. Ubisoft introduced a third-person perspective on these games and was possitively received by the public. It was later adapted by another gaming monster, Blizzard, in their Diablo series and World of Warcraft. Another never-been-done in gaming history is the game collaboration between Ubisoft and American novelist Tom Clancy who is famous for creating crime-drama novels. Ghost Recon, Rainbow Six and Splinter Cell are revered as one of the best and memorable games for its intense story lines and amazing graphics from Ubisoft.
